CrossFire 7.1 for Beilstein and Gmelin
March 25, 2008 on 1:40 pm | In Database News |CrossFire, the software you download and install on your computer to access the Beilstein and Gmelin databases, has recently been updated. Information and directions on downloading/installing CrossFire 7.1 are on our site.
CrossFire 7.1 supports Windows 2000/XP/Vista and connects to UC-eLinks. For each reference, you can click the full-text button to open UC-eLinks and connect to the article if we have it online, as well as check our holdings in Roger and get a Request/ILL form if needed. However, CrossFire 7.1 does not have Autonom.
Please read the section TO INSTALL CROSSFIRE 7.1, as there are differences between CrossFire 7.1 and the previous 7.0/6.0 versions. The files are not yet on the UC CrossFire site, and you will need to supply some additional information during the installation to enable UC-eLinks.
If you have questions about CrossFire, Beilstein or Gmelin, please contact Teri Vogel.
