S&E Closed Friday March 30
March 29, 2007 on 10:46 pm | In News & Events | Comments OffFor the university holiday of Cesar Chavez Day on March 30th, the S&E Library will be closed, along with the other libraries in the Geisel Library building. The Biomedical Library will be open that day from 10 am - 6 pm.
S&E will re-open on Saturday at 10 am. For all the UCSD Libraries hours, consult All Libraries Hours by Week.
Knovel’s University Challenge Continues

Answer the 5 questions correctly and you could win a $1500 Scholarship or one of eight iPod prizes!
Enter by (midnight) Thursday, April 5th.
The questions are chemistry-oriented this time and can be answered by searching Knovel.com, which UCSD licenses for use by students, faculty and staff.
Don’t know Knovel? You should, and we can help. Librarians are available to show your lab, your student club, or your class more about this amazing resource. Or you can try it out on your own when you have engineering and physical sciences questions and need some facts, background info and/or data.

Try Alloy Phase Diagram Center Online
March 4, 2007 on 11:26 pm | In Database News | Comments OffWe have trial access to ASM’s Alloy Phase Diagram Center Online UCSD Only for March 5 through March 14, 2007. Explore, search and view more than 11,000 binary and ternary phase diagrams and associated phase data for more than 2400 systems.
