Faculty: Web of Science Focus Group

February 27, 2007 on 11:57 am | In Faculty News |

Thomson Scientific, producers of the Web of Science database, is looking for UCSD faculty/researchers to participate in an online bulletin board focus group. The focus of this discussion will be citation usage in ISI Web of Knowledge/Web of Science.

They are offering a $150 in American Express Gift Cheques to those who complete all aspects of this project.

A bulletin board focus group is a moderated, on-going Web-based chat, where participants can log on to answer posted questions at their convenience during the 3-day study period. Several questions will be posted each day, and participants will be asked to visit the site at least once each day to submit answers to the questions, skim others’ responses, and answer them if they choose.

The nice part of this process is that participants may visit the site at any time during the 3-day session, day or night, making it convenient to take part in the study. The total time investment is about 3 hours.

The group will begin on Wednesday, February 28th and run through Friday, March 2nd.
