We are developing several features of smart dust in collaboration with established or start-up companies for various applications in medicine, the pharmaceutical industry and environmental monitoring. For example, we are developing a homing capability that will allow these particles to target cancerous tumors in the body and then deliver a drug, and we are making microscopic sensors that can identify toxins in the air and in water.
