RSS Feeds for IEEE Explore

You can find the feed for each journal on its homepage, or you can go to the alerts page and enter your name/e-mail to access the entire list. Once you’ve added a feed to your RSS reader, it will be updated when a new issue for that particular journal or transaction has been posted.

SciFinder Scholar for OS X
November 14, 2005 on 12:35 pm | In Database News | Comments OffSciFinder Scholar for OS X (10.2, 10.3, 10.4) is now available from the UC SciFinder Download site. In the left column under SFS 2006/2004 Install, select Client for Apple Mac OSX (ver. 1). This is an OS X version of SciFinder Scholar 2004. An OS X version that corresponds to the current SFS 2006 for Windows will be released in 2006.

The new SciFinder Scholar for Mac OS X provides all the power of previous Macintosh versions of SciFinder Scholar and includes a refreshed Mac OS X look with new icons and improved navigation using your mouse wheel and scroll bar. This version provides you with:
- Direct integration with native OS X web browsers, including Safari (default), Mozilla Firefox, Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer
- Better desktop performance

Directory of Grad Research (ACS)
November 10, 2005 on 10:59 am | In Other New Resources | Comments OffAmerican Chemical Society’s Directory of Graduate Research is now free online, with major enhancements to improve searching. This is an excellent resource for undergrads who want to identify potential graduate programs.
DGRweb is ACS’s searchable database of US/Canada graduate research instututions and faculty in chemistry and chemical engineering. You can search institutions or faculty by name or location. Additional faculty searches include research area, gender, academic rank and keyword searching on specific research and theses.
