Updates to Web of Science
October 30, 2005 on 9:42 pm | In Database News | Comments OffSome changes you’ll see starting this weekend in Web of Science:
- An expanded listing for an article’s cited records list (bibliography) that now includes the title of the article as well as first author, journal name and date.
- Publication Year/Range is now an option on the General Search page. It cannot be used along, but must be searched in combination with another one of the search fields. Search results can now be searched by year.
- The Output Records options are now available from the Search Results, either the Summary or the Full Record. You can now print, e-mail, save or export records without adding them to the Marked List.

Science Goes Graphic!
October 3, 2005 on 2:26 pm | In Exhibits | Comments Off
As part of the Geisel Goes Graphic collaborative exhibit, the S&E Library is exhibiting graphic books covering scientific topics, including The Science of Superheroes and The Science of Supervillains by Lois Gresh and Robert Weinberg and several books by Larry Gonick (The Cartoon Guide to Physics, and The Cartoon Guide to Statistics).

A companion exhibit displays information on the graphic science book genre - major themes, authors, and web resources. Read interviews with authors Jim Ottaviani and Jim Kakalios, and see scientific comics on nanotechnology (Meet the Goos), and Heroes in Engineering. Vintage superhero comic books from 1985-1987 are also on view.

During the week of October 10, please drop by the S&E Library from noon to 1:00 p.m. and have your photograph taken with Spiderman!
