Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (new)

September 10, 2005 on 9:49 am | In Journals | Comments Off

UCSD now has online access to the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists from 1945 to the present. You can browse the collection by author, issue, and topic (from The Manhattan Project to the 60th anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki). Contributing authors included Einstein, Bohr, Oppenheimer, Teller, Pauling and Sakharov. It’s written for both scientific readers and the general public.

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists was founded in 1945 by scientists who worked on the Manhattan Project at the University of Chicago and were deeply concerned about the potential future use of nuclear weapons and nuclear war… More than 5,250 writers have contributed more than 18,000 articles, forming an archive of primary source material that is recognized internationally as an indispensable resource on international security issues.
