Web of Science released New Version
July 21, 2004 on 4:35 pm | In Other New Resources |ISI released a new version of Web of Science (Science Citation Index) this week that is streamlined, easier to use, and has several new features.
To search Web of Science, click on the link or go to the S&E Library’s website. Select Web of Science from the “Most Used Article Databases” pull down menu on the left, and you will immediately notice an improvement, you’ll need less clicks to do your searches, especially a Cited Reference Search, the button is now on their initial screen.
A great new feature is the ability to create a “Citation Alert” and have the system send you an email message whenever a new article citing your selected article is added to Web of Science. Author, topic, and journal contents alerts can also be created and emailed weekly or monthly to keep you up-to-date on the latest research in science.
You will still be able to easily export search results directly to your favorite reference software, e.g. EndNote.
