My father’s B’day was a short while back and this year I just had to get him a wine gift set, given his new wine obsession. It started a while back when a Korean friend and Colleague introduced him to some fine Burgundy wines, and since then he’s been hooked.
Having decided on wines as an appropriate gift, I had to figure out what type wine would be best, and a nice Online wine merchant in UK to ship the stuff to my dad (he’s been teaching in the UK since December of last year.)
Doing a little research I ended up choosing a set of fine Bordeaux wines. A Bordeaux wine is one produced in Bordeaux, France. They range from large quantities of everyday table wine, to the most expensive and prestigious wines in the world. The set I got was fairly priced, especially since I don’t have tons of money to throw around.
As for the merchant (after all, this is a site review blog!) I chose Serentawines.com which has a very eye pleasing design, as well as good prices and fine wine selection. They even had Chianti wines & Australian wines which I knew nothing about! Looks like I’ll have to do more research and post back.
Anyway, my father loved the gift, and from the sound of it on the phone, he had consumed most of it upon receipt (perhaps not). But I was overall very satisfied with the experience. And that’s my Site Review for today; the reliable Wine UK Merchant, serentawines.com!
